Nancy Wijohn

Nancy Wijohn, of Te Rarawa, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Tahu, and Ngāti Whaoa descent, serves as Co-Director and Producer at Body Island, a leading creator of live and digital dance experiences.

With a Bachelor's degree in Screen and Performing Arts majoring in Contemporary Dance from Unitec, Nancy's career spans directing, choreography, teaching, and performance, both nationally and internationally. She holds certifications in Te Reo Māori and business management, alongside advanced training in ConTact C.A.R.E Practitioner and Personal Training. Nancy's extensive work experience includes roles as Associate Producer at Te Pou Theatre, and Producer for various projects.

A dedicated teacher and mentor, Nancy has facilitated workshops and residencies, sharing her expertise with aspiring dancers and artists. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to holistic well-being, Nancy Wijohn continues to make significant contributions to the dance and performing arts landscape in Aotearoa and beyond.
